May is a Japanese saxophone/flute player based in Toronto. Since 2012, she has performed at various festivals and music venues across multiple continents, as well as on various recordings.

With a focus on jazz, fusion, and modern RnB, her inimitable style has been applied to a diversity of different cultures of music from Brazilian to Middle Eastern and beyond.

Recently, May has appeared on several albums including "Logatomes" with Tenshi (2024), and both "Live at Gold Standard," (2025) and the forthcoming album "Continua" by the Orbital Ensemble (2026).

Add to all of this, in 2025, she also opened her own music school in the Danforth area called "The Note Nest," which is committed to a high quality music education for the younger generation.

12歳からサックスを始め、ソニーロリンズのコンサートを見たのをきっかけにプロサックス奏者になる事を目指す。

高校卒業後、上京。

尚美ミュージックカレッジ専門学校で4年間Jazz,Pop,Latin,Funk等様々なジャンルの音楽を勉強。

2016年音楽の拠点をカナダ,トロントに移しプロミュージシャンとして活動。

年間１００本以上のライブ、レコーディングとトロントで子供たちの音楽指導もこなす。
